Today, December 1st, is World's AIDS Day. There are many ways to get involved. Please make sure you spread the word on this important day, even if it's just to tell your friends to practice safe sex.In the past year, over 2 million people were newly infected with the HIV virus. 2 million. Granted, not everyone will get full-blown AIDS, but that's horrendous. This virus is preventable! With education and preventative action, we can wipe out this disease.
Also, in the past year, almost the same number of people died of AIDS as there were new infections - just over 2 million. This is something that is in our control to stop within our lifetime. Unlike cancer and Alzheimer's, this can be handled just by pure prevention of spreading the disease!
Please consider making a donation, or at least spreading the word about this cause.
